For cowboys many workwear garments were developed in the 1940s for cowboys, whose needs defined the era’s rugged functionality. A distinctive feature of popular shirts at the time was the use of shank buttons without holes, which were sewn on with a separate stem. Lot.118 Cowboy Shirt retains this early design—prior to the widespread use of decorative snap buttons that emerged later. The fabric is made from naturally derived rayon. It is densely woven into a gabardine structure and lightly brushed, resulting in a matte, silk-like sheen combined with excellent breathability and moisture absorption.
